May Savings Recap

WOW! It is June already. This year is just flying by! We had a good month for our budget. I did go over by $5.90. It was for good reason. Last week my oldest came down with Strep Throat. So I had to go get Gatorade and Popsicles. I had truly thought we were done with being sick for the year but I guess there are no guarantees. Here is my break out for May:

Total Value of Items Purchased: $884.65
Store Savings & Incentives: $357.25
Coupons: $121.50
Total Out of Pocket: $405.90
Percentage of Savings: 54%

The stores that I shopped at in May included Vons, Smiths, Albertsons, & Costco. I have a feeling that spending my $145 at Costco brought down my Percentage of Savings. I know I saved money buying my fruits and veggies there but I wasn't going to do the math to figure it all out.
